ADMISSION POLICY
Holy Family School admits students of any race, color, sex, national and ethnic origin, or disability to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available to students at the school.  It does not discriminate on the basis of race, Color, sex, national and ethnic origin, or disability in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and load programs, and athletic and school-administered programs. All students entering Holy Family School must be admitted by the Principal who determines of Holy Family School can sufficiently meet a child’s needs.

ADMISSION PRIORITY
Admission into Holy Family is granted according to the following priorities:

  • Students returning from K-7 and their siblings.
  • Baptized children of registered and contributing Holy Family parishioners
  • Baptized children of registered and contributing parishioners from St. Mary’s of Madison, IL.
  • Students enrolled at Holy Family Pre-K.
  • All other children.

Students are admitted on probation and must maintain passing grades in order to continue at Holy Family School.  This is at the discretion of the Principal.

NEW KINDERGARTENERS
A child entering kindergarten must be five years of age on or before September 1st of that year.  At the time of registration, a certified birth certificate, baptismal certificate (if Catholic and baptized outside of Holy Family Parish), and a $200 Registration/Technology fee (per child) must be presented.  Before entering kindergarten, click here for a few things your child should know.

TRANSFER STUDENTS
Students transferring into Holy Family School from another school will be admitted provided the following are present at registration. The previous grade’s report card shows the student earned a “C” grade or above in all subjects from the release of records from the current school. If multiple applications with identical priorities are submitted, first preference will be given to children with completed registration on a first-come, first-serve basis.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

HEALTH EXAMS & IMMUNIZATIONS
All students entering KINDERGARTEN or SIXTH GRADE and NEW STUDENTS FROM OUT OF STATE must present a completed Health Examination Form to the school office.  To begin school in August, Holy Family School now requires that health examination forms be turned in by School Business Day in August, prior to the first day of classes.  An “Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination” form must be used.  Forms cannot be accepted from other states.  Sixth graders cannot use their sports physicals to satisfy this requirement; however, the Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination can be used as their sports physical.

DENTAL EXAMS
All students entering KINDERGARTEN, SECOND, or SIXTH GRADE must submit a completed dental examination form.  Holy Family School requires that students in Kindergarten and Second Grade return their dental examination forms of School Business Day in August, before their first day of class.  Sixth-graders must submit their forms by May 1, 2021, or sooner.

EYE EXAMS
All students entering KINDERGARTEN or enrolling in Holy Family School for the first time are required to submit a completed eye examination form.  Holy Family School requires that this form be returned to the school on School Business Day in August, before the child may start classes.
