There are a number of fundraisers conducted annually in which school families are asked to participate. The funds raised through these fundraising efforts are crucial for assisting with expenses such as new textbooks, technology, equipment, and other resources necessary to enhance the learning experience for our students. HOLY FAMILY SCHOOL ANNUAL FUND
The HFS Development Program began in 1993 and is committed to providing the prayers and funds needed for Holy Family School to succeed, grow, and develop. With these goals in mind, the Development Program has a two-fold purpose: educate the community and spread the good news of Holy Family School and raise funds to maintain quality education in an economy where costs are constantly rising. Newspapers and newsletters are sent out during the school year, keeping our constituents informed of the events and achievements of HFS and its students. The HFS Annual Fund Drive raises donations which enable the school to provide equipment, technology, and other supplies needed by teachers and students. Parents and others who are interested in helping with this important mission are invited to volunteer by contacting the school principal. Together we can make it happen!
BINGO
All families who send their children to Holy Family Catholic School agree at the time of registration to work Bingo. The proceeds from Bingo have paid for as much as one-third of Holy Family School expenditures during past years. These funds allow tuition payments made by school families to remain stable and provide for extracurricular programs. Each family agrees to support the school by working approximately 13 Bingo sessions per year with a minimum of 3 hours each session. We sincerely thank all of the volunteers and their captains for their continued support of our school. If you have questions regarding the Bingo program, please contact the school office at 877-5500.

SCRIP PROGRAM
Earn $$$$ for the school while you SHOP!! Order gift cards for your everyday household expenses: groceries, clothing, gas, home repairs, and gifts. When you order through our scrip program, Holy Family School earns a rebate. You can order actual gift cards, reload cards you have previously ordered or order Scrip NOW! to have it delivered to your email inbox to use immediately. You can also download the App and have scrip cards available on your phone!
DINE OUT FOR HOLY FAMILY NIGHTS
Dine out with the family and help us earn dollars for Holy Family School. Plan on letting someone else cook the meals for your family on the first Wednesday of every month; some exceptions may apply. Tell your friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors to dine-out, too, and help make this fundraiser a success!
BUY A BRICK CAMPAIGN
Holy Family School has a long tradition of educating the youth of Granite City. In order to continue the mission of Holy Family School to work with the “Whole” person and address the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional and social aspects of each student, we need your help! To help offset the operating expenses of the school, we are asking you to buy a brick! These bricks will be used to improve the courtyard area so that, in the years to come, you will be able to bring your children and grandchildren to the “Courtyard” to see your name and their names as a permanent legacy of Holy Family School. You will be able to create your own message. These specially engraved, decorative bricks will be used in the courtyard area and at various other places around the school. Everyone is invited to buy a brick, either for you or for someone else, to commemorate special occasions, or to honor or remember a special loved one. CHRISTMAS RAFFLE
All school families are asked to sell raffle tickets for the annual Christmas Raffle drawing held following the school Christmas Concert. In the past, prizes have included ipads, televisions, and cash. Each family is asked to sell a minimum of 5 raffle tickets at $5 each. Tickets will be sent home to students in November with information on the prize. Participation in this fundraiser is part of the Incentive Program. Check back soon for more details.
ANNUAL GALA DINNER & AUCTION
The Gala Dinner & Auction is one of the largest annual school fundraisers, second only to Bingo. This is not some stuffy event. All are welcome for an evening of fun, which includes a buffet dinner, more than 200 items for bid during the silent and oral auctions, dancing, raffles, 50/50, and more! All proceeds raised support the school. The success of this event depends on the participation of our school families through sponsorship, auction donations, and attendance. BOOK FAIR
Shop the Scholastic Book Fair during Catholic Schools Week. Students will have the opportunity to browse the shelves, create wish lists and shop for books. Families are encouraged to check out the Teacher Wish Lists for new books to add to the classroom libraries. All proceeds from the Book Fair are used to purchase additional books for the school library and new technology for the school.
